Occupational Therapy for Care Homes

Our Occupational therapists can work within your care home by providing:

1. Training to enable staff to work with residents to help them maintain independence in self care and mobility, enhance their daily routine and enjoy an active life.
2. Advice on the use of space and equipment, for example seating, a hoist or wheeled shower commode.
3. Stratergies to prevent falls and manage risks.
4. Help to manage unusual behaviours, such as restlessness and lack of inhibition.
5. Set up systems to ensure a person-centred approach to care and outcomes that result in the improved well being of residents.
6. Improving standards through the establishment.
